If you are a Gravel or MTB lover, get ready for a unique experience in the Terre di Pisa, an authentic corner of Tuscany off the beaten path. From April 23 to 27, 2025, join this bicycle touring adventure that combines nature, history and traditions, through a loop route of more than 500 kilometers, 43% of which are off-road, with a total elevation gain of 9,900 meters.

Departure from Calci

This year it starts from the picturesque Certosa di Pisa, a place full of charm and history. From here, the Bike Trail will take you through breathtaking landscapes: hills designed by vineyards, wheat and lavender fields, olive groves and cypress avenues. You will pass through fortified villages such as Lari, Volterra, San Miniato and Vicopisano, true medieval jewels, and towns that combine tradition and innovation, such as Peccioli, crowned Italy's Most Beautiful Village 2024.

Offers and experiences

The Bike Trail is designed to involve your companions as well, with experiential activities such as guided tours of the villages, tastings of wines and local products, cooking classes and more.

Autonomous route

The route (divided for the occasion into 5 stages) is completely autonomous: you can choose when and how much you ride each day. Each completed stage will be a finish line to be stamped, either in a roadbook or digitally via the gpx route. By completing the route in the 5 days provided, you receive the coveted finisher's certificate.

A sustainable bicycle tourism project.
Promoted by the Northwest Tuscany Chamber of Commerce and the Terre di Pisa Area, the Bike Trail is part of the Area Operational Plan funded by the Region of Tuscany. An initiative that aims to enhance the territory and cycle tourism as a tool for sustainable development.
